A downloadable game for Windows

In the forest lived a Witch green and old

Who played with magic daring and bold

One faithful night she dumps her brew into the water

Causing the animals to become sick and sour

But little did the witch know those animals grew

They grew and grew through the night into...

SOMETHING WICKED

Description:

A new IP title made for the Toxic Terror Game Jam.  Something Wicked takes place inside a witch's hut, where it's your goal as the witch to survive long enough to cast the final spell. Cast spells and fend off against American Cryptids in this twist on the Sit and Survive theme. Utilize your crow companion to gather resources to survive. And if you need a reminder on spells, the spell book is always on the table. May the Wicked not terrorize your night.

Gameplay:

In this game, you cast spells by drawing their patterns out on a magic grid. Simply look in the area you want to cast the spell with your eye and draw it out. Send your crow to gather ingredients to cast spells. But be warned that it's not guaranteed what ingredients you will get. Finally, the Wicked beasts are angry, so don't let them get you. It may be the last mistake you'll ever make.

Enemies:

The Little Green Man (Goblins) is actually 4 goblins with 1 assigned to each entrance, and they are introduced at the start of the game. The goblins cannot break open any entrance and cannot kill you, but given the chance, they will steal an ingredient from your inventory.

The Jackalope will run past your windows and doors to let you know its presence, however, it can only attack through the front door. After breaking down the front door, the Jackalope will kill you if you cannot stop it in time.

The Spector Moose is nothing more than a distraction and can only appear after 1 minute has passed in game. Once active, the moose will fade in and out of your screen until it is repelled. Don't let this distract you from incoming enemies.

Mothman can only appear after 1 minute of in game time and only attacks through the fireplace. When Mothman becomes active, you can hear him walking on the roof. After breaking through the fireplace, Mothman will go for the kill.

The Wendigo is the final enemy and appears after 2 minutes have passed in game. The Wendigo can only attack through windows. You can see which window the Wendigo will attack through based on the last window it ran past.

Spells:

Ward Off: Each enemy has an anger value that dictates how often they attack. As the game naturally progresses, this value is increased. By casting each enemy's specific spell, their anger will remain the same; however, you can cast ward off in a pinch. this spell will repel all active enemies; however, this will drastically increase their anger.

Repair: This spell will repair whichever entrance the player is looking at, signified by the eye above the entrance.

Protect: This speed spawns a shield in front of the entrance you are currently looking at. While a door is protected, enemies will be unable to attack through or break that entrance.

Final Spell: Casting this spell will win the game. To cast it, the player requires 1 of each ingredient. The spell also requires the player to use each enemy's specific spell to repel said enemy. Once each enemy has been repelled at least once and you have 1 of each ingredient, you may cast the spell at the end of the night.
